Nature and recreation for everyone!
5 organizations in 3 countries are working together to make green spaces more accessible for recreation. These 5 organizations create, manage or restore green areas, make existing natural areas more accessible, and they develop or improve recreational opportunities. The aim is to find a BALANCE between recreation and nature, so that one does not compromise the other.
The link behind these initiatives, is a project called ‘Balance’ - Balancing Nature and Recreation in peri-urban and rural areas. This Interreg IVA project is financed partly by the European Development Fund, which provides money for projects that promote and develop a healthy and safe environment.
The project runs from 1 January 2011 until 31 December 2013.
